“I know that being a Latina with two parents who were immigrants and didn’t speak English, made me feel at times like I didn’t have the platform to reach certain things,” shares Osorio. “I didn’t have the money or the connections to give me a head start and I can see how that might be a discouragement to some or maybe too big of a mountain to climb for others, but I would tell any Latina to not let their background or upbringing define their future. Appreciate the struggles you grew up with and focus on how you can make a difference in the future. Every day is a choice of progress or cruise-control.”
